I don't know if it's me, but the models bringing mixing that far north, have overcorrected. everyone loves the euro, until mixing affects you. I expect south trends starting tonight, too far north.

ok im saying it. it we don't have a large shift south with recon data at 0z or 06z, the northern solution is VERY likely. south in a bad position here.

well. latest euro wants temperatures upwards of 60 degrees in the SC midlands. i dont see how we can come back from this. i have little hope for us. i would say its out of our control. still hurts. so much motivation and effort put into this storm only to be cold rain, if that.

I honestly don't think many people understand the MAGNITUDE of this ice storm. This would cause MASSIVE POWER OUTAGES, POTENTIAL HOME STRUCTURAL FAILURE (if roofs collapse), IMPOSSIBLE TO TRAVEL ON ROADS. (including EMS)

The Euro is so much of a buzzkill that I don't even wanna do my video anymore. Sheesh man. What an idiot. Congrats Toronto

all southerners, we need to gather in this moment of hope. we need this storm to work out in our favor. if it doesn't, I will lose all motivation to continue tracking weather. @SCweather_wx

reasons to not take euro 18z seriously: 1. Euro often underestimates the strength and location of high pressure that block and deflect storm systems (backing off on high pressure) 2. the euro underestimates the amount and depth of cold air available (hence the warmer trend)

I don't know how to put this, but the NBM's AVERAGE MEAN for ice would be catastrophic alone in some areas... the AVERAGE. Worst case scenario, a crippling ice storm verifies, most of GA/SC/NC would be in the dark, potentially for days. Not to mention the historic cold moving in

06z euro. runs not finished and already showing 2.5-3 INCHES of freezing rain for SC. if this verifies prepare for the entire SC power grid to collapse.. @SCweather_wx

While we are still several days out, confidence continues to increase in a potential winter storm over the weekend. Details are yet to be worked out, so keep an eye on the forecast over the next few days.

ok this is starting to get very concerning. euro is really liking an ice storm for the south. gfs, a sleet storm. this is the strongest signal I've seen for an ice storm in my life since living here. @SCweather_wx @NWSColumbia
