I'm keeping a very close eye on the Caribbean for the middle of October. Here is the latest EURO ensembles showing some noise in the western Caribbean. This area is ripe for development if something can get going. This time frame will likely be the last ""hurrah" of 2025.

I was about to post the same thing. No way this thing didn't have EF-5 winds. Ironically enough the Plevna tornado also derailed a train!
I’m still bitter that Plevna’s true strength will never be known. I have no doubt it harbored EF5-strength winds.

Gonna be tough for ole girl to be tropical with all that dry air around. But it will set up us in the Carolinas for one heck of a October Fall weekend.

Well it looks like the EF-5 drought is officially over. After months of analysis with meteorologists and engineers, Enderlin, North Dakota gets added to the list. This tornado occurred on June 20th of this year. The last EF-5 in the U.S was May 20th 2013 in Moore, Oklahoma!

Something may be brewing off the east coast by the end of this week. Most likely scenario is it isn't purely tropical. Depending on the track of whatever it is, impacts could be felt somewhere. Worth watching before we have to watch the Caribbean by the middle of the month!
