A cloudy, breezy Sunday ahead! ☁️ A few light showers could develop along the coastline and across portions of SE Georgia this afternoon. Expect highs in the 60s inland and low 70s near the coastline. Showers become more widespread tonight with lows in the mid-50s to low 60s.

A Fire Danger Statement has been issued for portions of southeast SC and southeast GA through this afternoon. RH values of 25% or less can be expected, with WNW winds near 10 mph and gusts near 15 mph. Similar conditions can be expected tomorrow.

We are currently monitoring one tropical wave just west of the Windward Islands over the eastern Caribbean Sea. A tropical depression is likely to form (70% within 7 days). Impacts are currently not expected along the Georgia and South Carolina coast.

Cloud coverage will be increasing Sunday afternoon ahead of a cold front, which will be moving through during the evening hours. A broken line of showers/storms is expected to weaken as it moves through central GA, though chances for light showers continues into the late evening.

Very nice fall conditions are expected for this weekend across the region, with low risk for rip currents today. If you’re heading to the beach on Sunday, be aware there is a moderate risk for rip currents at all southeast South Carolina and southeast Georgia beaches
