A child living in state care, with a disability, told Dame Rachel de Souza: "The Government will pay for me to die under this Bill, but it won’t pay for me to live". Vulnerable young people deserve so much better than this.😡

Listen folks. This is worrying. Actually, it’s not worrying, it’s terrifying. I have sat with people who are about to, and are planning on ending their lives. I’ve talked them back from the edge. I’ve sat and prayed and sobbed and talked and laughed. This is not coercion, this is

What Steve sees is a beautiful, warped distortion of human nature. He’s also getting confused about the huge difference between ‘punishment’ (not mentioned in @tombennett71’s plan) and consequences. We *all* need to experience meaningful consequences for our actions. The real

I see it very differently! This plan is focused on the wrong issues -on the presenting symptoms, compliance & punishment. Instead we need a focus on child development, the differences between adolescence female & male brain maturation, & our growing understanding of neuroscience.

New old streets in Dresden. The city’s recreation of its traditional heart is utterly beyond the comprehension or imagination of most British planners, developers, architects or “heritage experts” & yet is profoundly popular, sustainable. It is the people who made this happen.

This is a recently completed British train station. It is pathetic, value engineered to a level of comatose ugliness that dispirits & dulls the mind, dissuading passengers & degrading the trains that run through it. It is not civic or sociable architecture....

Coercion isn't only a risk from immediate family. @age_uk said there is a wider "moral hazard" with older people at real risk, especially because of issues around inheritance, as well as the growing issue of romance scams.

đŸ”„ Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson drops a bombshell stat. In 20 countries without assisted suicide, palliative care funding rose by 25%, BUT in the Benelux states where there is AS, it has only risen by 7.9% in the same period. Legalising assisted suicide weakens REAL care.

. to have so many, in fact all, disability charities and advocacy groups oppose it, and an apparent agenda to kill the vulnerable

“There is no organisation of or for disabled people that supports this legislation!” Baroness @Tanni_GT outlines her deep concerns about legalising assisted suicide for disabled people. Despite contrary claims, this is the overwhelming view of groups representing disabled people.
