I can’t hear Trump’s voice anymore without imagining
@sarahcpr
’s visual interpretation of his words. It lessens the blow ever so slightly. Thank you Sarah.
The amount of startups that are in Dublin and want to ‘grab a Guinness’ with me far exceeds the amount of Guinness I might consume in a month. It’s cute, but I’m starting to think I have a reputation for the gargle. Irish people drink coffee too!
I'm really delighted to join the
@ScaleIreland
board and contribute to its inspiring mission of creating the most advantageous conditions for Irish tech start-up and scale-up companies to thrive 😊
We are very proud that our CEO
@clairemchugh
has joined the board of
@ScaleIreland
an independent not-for-profit org with a vision is to make Ireland the leading location for innovation & entrepreneurship.
Next month
@axonista
will add 7 new team members putting us above 40 people for the first time ever.
It's a really competitive hiring market at the moment and I'm just so proud of the team for making this happen.
@davidbrunelle
Thank you. I’d have also chastised him for the use of italics in the first paragraph, which imparts a slimey, patronizing tone, before we get to the casual sexism. Hope he has learned something today.
I’ve had a good day. We successfully onboarded 5 new team members
@axonista
who all reported having enjoyed their first day.
And I have confirmed appointments for haircut, eyebrows, and a massage.
What can only be described as a celebration of fire engines just went past me on the quays complete with full sirens, horn-tooting, and waving occupants. One of the most exciting things to happen in ages.
This is one of the best things I've ever read on running a product company. Tons of advice on every stage from 'drunken walk' to 'hypergrowth', and how to really measure product/market fit.
Greetings from this morning’s office in sunny Cannes. Thanks
@TwitterMktg
for the great view! looking forward to speaking about the next phase of social shopping, and importance of video commerce for brands at
#TwitterBeach
panel tomorrow representing
@axonista
#CannesLions2022
My parents are online shopping, banking and zooming for the first time in their lives, due to cocooning. Their questions about UX are insight-rich. Key concerns are trust, privacy, frustrations re number of steps needed to do things. Their ability to adapt an inspiration.
@amandapalmer
@DrJenGunter
@neilhimself
I feel the second part of your observation ‘oh my god’ is being overlooked. Whatever it is, it belongs as an option, on a sunlight-faded poster, in the window of a closed hairdresser, in a bypassed country town.
Had such a blast at
#TwitterBeach
panel talking about the future of social commerce with these amazing and knowledgeable folks from across the entire marketing ecosystem
#CannesLions2022
Big congrats to
@jmkirl
for winning Corporate Leader of the year at
#WomensAwards
and for delivering some very important words in her speech to businesses about choosing services providers that support diversity 💪
Coming up for air, so decided to see what I can do to help. We started
@axonista
in a recession 10 yrs ago. Any startup founders in Ireland, who feel they would benefit from a chat with me as they face unknowns, I have 30 mins of my morning free for chats
🚀 Today we're releasing details of our advisory panel, and starting with employers.
These leaders in Ireland's largest home grown remote companies will help steer our work so that we stay employer lead, with a focus on local impact.
Dublin is at its most charming and creative on
@CultureNight
a welcome reprieve from hotel construction to see young and old enjoying and learning with wonder. Well done all involved, and welcome to
@MoLI_Museum
❤️
Thanks Sandra and
@SunTimesIreland
for the feature today’s paper, and for letting me rant about Dublin housing crisis, and unfair ESOP taxation for people who take the risk on working at startups
Ok just want to know how many folks are having frequent bizarre action-packed dreams? I wake up exhausted. Mine have plot lines, character development, the works.
Building a company is hard, and from time to time, is hard on its founders, and leaders. There's no shame in that. This is a good collection of blog posts on the topic, that may not make you feel any better, but will certainly make you feel less alone.
Happy

🎉 Big news 🎉 Axonista has made the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Ireland for the third year in a row.
Massive thanks to our team, customers, partners, and champions for being part of our journey. Best of luck to all of the listed companies.
A team-wide love of storytelling and storytellers informs our approach to
#VideoCommerce
, and the software we build. We're also having a lot of fun internally at Axonista celebrating our favourite storytellers this month :)
As part of our Storytelling Month, we'll be sharing clips from some of our team's favourite storytellers, starting with our QA Engineer, Avinash! In this Vanity Fair video, Edgar Wright breaks down scenes he's directed from his film and television career 📹
Really proud and delighted to show off our new look! Big thanks to Axonista's finest Thomas Tennyson for creating our beautiful new brand identity. Read all about the design process behind it here!
Thank you
@Ireland_Inc
and
@KPMG
for listing us again in the US 250 Index which tracks high impact firms in the US. It has been an incredible year for
#VideoCommerce
. Excited to be leading the way in the US and beyond!
This

podcast about how they podcast, is a great insight into the storytelling process of what makes an interesting conversation that is compelling to listen to.
Useful for panelists, moderators, and speakers who want to improve their craft.
@AlexHormozi
I’m pro argument. Being willing to hear, debate and understand an alternative view, where both reach a new level of understanding is an opportunity to learn. Agreeing for the sake of avoiding argument, is quicker, but robs both people of that.
This narrative about companies ‘allowing’ employees to work from home is odd. It’s hugely beneficial for employers that people can and are agreeing to work from their homes right now, and the narrative should be about employers and gov facilitating that.
It's been a wonderful 2 years at our Exchequer Street office, but today we move on! Thank you, & best of luck to our lovely neighbours
@TouchPress
and
@evervault
, and all the awesome local businesses. Excited to see what our next home will look like. For now, we remain

‘In 2019,
#LiveShopping
generated approx $60BN in global sales, with China accounting for vast majority. By 2023, it is estimated that total global sales will reach $500BN with a much larger global footprint—a staggering 833% increase in just 4 years.’
The year 1973 was a different world for Irish women. If you were married, you were legally barred from entering the workforce. Here’s to 50 years of progress in women’s rights led by Irish activists in Ireland who’ve paved the way for my generation and the next ❤️
This year NWC celebrates 50 years - women have made huge progress in the past 5 decades, from economic equality to reproductive justice
This year we'll be celebrating these wins, but also looking ahead to a more feminist future for us all
To
@TheEconomist
can you please stop promoting this guilt-inducing click-bait headline and image to paywalled content. Women and girls have enough BS to deal with.
Thank you so much to

Good morning anyone running your own business. This is your reminder to focus on what matters, and try to enjoy the ride! What's the one big thing you want to move forward this week?
Dear cold emailers, please stop with the harassment. 'Perhaps my last couple of emails fell through the cracks'. No they didn't, neither did the Linkedin invite you sent to tell me you sent me an email. What it has done, is damage the brand of the company you represent.
Not one for posting Zoom photos usually, but catching up with
@GoingForGrowth
lead entrepreneurs this morning was special. Paula & team have made a superhuman effort to keep this female entrepreneurship programme going during lockdown, & sharing expertise when most needed. ❤️
Approximately 25% of the
@axonista
team drinking enough cocktails for the entire team. Lovely to reconnect with colleagues and meet some irl for the first time 😊🥳🍸Thank you
@Iveaghgardenhot
for looking after us so well on your lovely outdoor terrace.
This day 3 years ago I was watching the early morning mists roll off Machu Picchu, and making friends with llamas. Feel very privileged, and grateful to have these memories, and for everyone and everything in my life. Love to you all this festive season. ❤️🎄
The Axonista team is really proud of being included in the

Investment firms sending inbound emails! First qualifying exercise I do when I check out your website is see how long it takes me to scroll down your team page before I see a woman or a person of colour.

On day 2 of an
@axonista
senior management team offsite at the lovely
@huckletree
Dublin offices. Absolutely fab set up, location, well managed and safe environment and friendly, helpful team :) Lovely way for remote teams to meet up and get a bunch of planning done.
We added 7 new team members to the
@axonista
team during lockdown, please share and help us find one additional web developer - (consider it a birthday request from me 🥳)
Happy Monday! We're hiring! We're looking for a web developer to join our internal product team developing one of the world's leading video CMS and streaming platforms. This role is remote-first, open to applicants in Ireland, Croatia, Spain, and France.
Pet peeve - bullshit startup PR headlines that have no basis in reality, but seek to will it into existence. e.g. 'X is looking to raise Y million creating hundreds of jobs'. Sure, aren't we all?
Super excited to announce this role
@axonista
🚀
Suitable for someone who loves bringing new B2B2C products to market, in an industry poised for growth, with the support of a tightly-aligned, remote-first team on a mission to power the video-first future of shopping
Great write up from

on yesterday’s inaugural

Sometimes things go wrong and your business can have an urgent issue. It can be frustrating, and daunting, but it’s almost always an opportunity to find any holes in your process that need fixing, and spot great teamwork, leadership, and collaboration within your team.
@ConallLaverty
It’s amazing how many people in the Irish startup scene played in bands. Former rock school participant here. Although my photos predate yours so much they’re in black and white.
To support small businesses who are struggling right now, consider buying a voucher from them, if you have the means. It might make all the difference.
Looking forward to this discussion, which will highlight the cutting-edge technology being developed in Ireland by
@axonista
and
@MannaAero
, as well as how indigenous tech companies will play a role in our economic recovery.
Growing up with a mother who made a living from art, and studying art history in school, I wondered why there were no women in the art history books, apart from in the paintings. This Twitter account is correcting that gap in my education every day!
