Thanks Flaherty lab!! I really enjoyed my time in the group and it was a great pleasure working with such smart, hard-working, and friendly group of people.
Over the winter months one of our postdocs Dr. Minju Chung finished her work with us. @chung_minju is moving on to her Assistant Professorship at @KAIST_CBE! We hope to see you at conferences in the future!

I'm happy to share our work published in Science! This work demonstrates a safe, efficient, and sustainable way of producing propylene oxide using water as the oxygen source.
@chung_minju's latest now in @ScienceMagazine!. We've demonstrated electrochemical activation of H2O for propylene epoxidation using PdPtOx catalyst, w/ >60% efficiency under mild conditions, promising low-footprint production of commodity chemicals. 🧪⚡️.

Progressing towards sustainable olefin epoxidation! Making electrophilic oxygen species while avoiding clusters or hydroxides that are active toward competing OER was the key to success.
Galvanic replacement for mild oxidation of MnOx! Our latest paper by @chung_minju and @ksjinerg et al. in @J_A_C_S demonstrates how electrochemical alkene epoxidation can be improved by tuning single atoms on MnOx nanoparticles. #electrocatalysis.

It’s my great fortune to have met @KManthiram as my advisor. I can feel that Karthish always look out for his students with all his heart. I believe students at Caltech are blessed to have Karthish as their mentor now!.
Look! That's my advisor! @KManthiram . May we all strive to live "a better life, not simply a more productive one.".
