FYI, getting COVID doesnβt give you immunity to COVID. And with every infection, your chance of developing long COVID increases. Of course your employer and your corrupt state donβt want you knowing how serious this is. Disabled people are not and have never been your enemy.
@ryan_zickgraf I made fun of these ppl too til I got what I thought was a cold, and then somehow just didnβt get better. Somehow got worse and worse over the next few months. Made no sense π€·ββοΈ Unvaxxed, assumed I had immunity after having it 3-4x by way of going to work. LC was not on my radar

the inability to even imagine a liberatory future which doesn't replicate the same murderous logic of capital for 25-40% of the population is doing far more to hold you back from revolution than some of your supposed allies not being able to out-bench or out-run fascists

the fact that 'the left' is daily being split so decisively by the question "do disabled people deserve to live without qualification?" explains a lot about why it's become so impotent in terms of affecting any actual progressive change

what is it called when these leftists are so obsessed with the idea of a single violent revolution ? it reminds me of convos surrounding cis fathers/husbands who are βalways preparedβ always βlooking for an exitβ and βknowing how someone could attack themβ but they donβt know

do US doctors get together every morning and do like a meeting where they all shake hands and promise to be as irresponsible and apathetic as possible?

flu rates highest itβs been in the u.s. in 15 years and people on tiktok posting emoji-censored proof of pooping their pants over it β but still wonβt mention masks and cleaning the air. please take serious precautions. vaccinate, wash hands, and wear a well-firing mask!

i remember getting death threats and being called a fed for saying yall should be masking. but nothing has changed. if youβre not masking you are harming and killing yourselves and your community. a slow death is still a death.

The comment section reeks of ableism. Genuinely fuck all of you, unlearn that shit
I literally survive because of Medicaid and SNAP. Medicaid is the only option for people who are disabled and haven't been able to pay into Medicare at all. If this passes people will DIE. Those of us who rely on Medicaid are already suffering. Now they're killing us.

BREAKING: House Republicans have released their budget resolution. They are aiming to cut Medicaid by at least $880 billion, and cut SNAP by at least 20%.

People that live with chronic pain mask their pain daily. They are used to living with it and having to hide it. You cannot decide that someoneβs pain is lower on the pain scale just because they arenβt screaming hysterically on the floor.

Liberals saying sh*t like this is a big reason right wingers think itβs a hoax - b/c you only (pretend to) care about it when Trump is in office. COVID NEVER WENT AWAY. You just ignored it for four years under Biden while your friends, family, neighbors died & became disabled.
π¨ BREAKING: Trump is back, and so is COVID. The U.S. just hit over 1,000 COVID deaths last weekβthe most in a long time. Add in the bird flu and deep cuts to public health, and weβre looking at a disaster in the making.

How many people sharing this and liking it are still masking? Because the majority of the country decided vulnerable people arenβt worth protecting. Nothing changes if no one can admit the part they played in the rising fascism in this country.

yβall tweet shit like this every three weeks and act shocked lol this was the normal you begged for :/
There's a weird "flu" ripping through Las Vegas that's knocking people out of commission for weeks, often turning into pneumonia. Patients test negative for covid and influenza. Some are calling it 'The Cough' π

Unsafe hospitals are one facet of eugenics. They donβt want to help disabled people live. They resent disabled people who insist on living.

i will die on the hill that masking & cleaning the air are *crucial* in community care, not βoptionalβ. part of the problem is people donβt see disableism on the same scale as other forms of marginalization. they donβt see it as something that impacts EVERYONE in the βcommunityβ.

This was my experience too. I was bullied by teachers and students like why are you so mad I missed so much school because Iβm disabled π΅βπ«
thinking about when i was a kid and missed a lot of school bc iβm chronically ill & would also catch everything everyoneβs sick kids would bring to class & i would end up in the hospital but for some reason the teachers acted like i was put on earth specifically to spite them
