Very happy to announce that I have received a 3-year ECR @FormasForsk grant to continue our work on the age structure of exploited fish stocks @_SLU @SLU_aqua. The grant builds directly on our ABImsy work recently published in @FishFishJournal - https://t.co/YJASPowAbJ 🐟🎣💻

ABImsy could provide a solution to the following: (1) inclusion of age-structure in🎣advice @ICES_ASC @EU_MARE (2) assessment of GES via the MSFDs D3C3 of GES @EU_ENV🌳 (3) use of age-structure in management strategy evaluation 💻 Code and data freely available online!

We apply ABImsy to 72 stocks in the NE Atlantic and find that 62% currently lack the older fish we would expect had fishing occurred at #MSY levels. Correlation analysis and simulation testing is used to link ABImsy to metrics of stock status, namely those used globally for #GES
