This beautiful novel, located between Iran and Germany, came out in the UK last week. 'The Nights Are Quiet in Tehran' . what savagely ironic timing. Look at this gorgeous writing by author Shida Bazyar and translator @the_germanist. Please read it.

Anyone who knows me knows I loved this dear, sweet, funny, loyal, affectionate little cat more than anything. He has been my best friend through two rounds of chemo, 18 mths of shielding and more. Caliban (BanBan, Banski, Furry Snail) died one week ago today. I am heartbroken.

I did an interview for Georgian TV about translating Nino Haratischvili and singing with the Cambridge Georgian choir @ChelaBuska - also featured, along with the wonderful Ialoni. (No idea what I'm saying here, but for those who understand Georgian. ).
