Men’s fashion is simple. You don’t need /r/malefashionadvice or whatever. Here’s what you do: 1. Go watch The Talented Mr. Ripley 2. Dress like Jude Law’s character at all times

I’ve said this before but you don’t remake THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN, you do a new adaptation in a new setting, like THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN did for SEVEN SAMURAI do a modern version with a Mexican village who hires some operators to save them from a small cartel
Matt Dillon is set to lead the upcoming “Magnificent Seven” series adaptation at MGM+. Dillon will play Chris Adams, the role originated by Yul Brynner in the original 1960 film. https://t.co/pB8yGXcB7Z

Odds. On. A. Gambling. Platform. Are. Not. News. Seriously, this sponsorship deal CNN has to plug @Kalshi's current election bookie odds is just gross. It's an ad for gambling dressed up as political analysis.
New from @ForecasterEnten: Following the Colbert interview, Talarico has jumped from 61% to 75% chance to win the primary on Kalshi. This is a stark contrast to the polling in this race, which has it very close.

Steven Soderbergh sat down with me to discuss his favorite films—from DO THE RIGHT THING to FARGO, PHANTOM THREAD, JAWS, and LOST IN TRANSLATION—for @letterboxd, and ended up sharing his theory that we reached peak cinema at the end of New Hollywood: https://t.co/6wGpaXI9bk

I - and others - have screamed about how great this movie is for 32 years now. No movie is better at the core of what it is to be a real working journalist. And it’s funny as well. Keaton, Duvall, Close, Tomei, Quaid - plus others, all at the top of their A-games. What a movie.
With Robert Duvall’s passing today we’re going to see a lot of references to The Godfather. And, understood. But please get into his other films. This one, The Paper, is a great revisit of his impact within a movie and it’s just interesting considering the evolution of media.

I’d pay $1,000,000 to see the Curb Your Enthusiasm episode where Larry finds out that Cheryl is dating RFK Jr

“The Talented Mr. Ripley” is one of those films that gets better with each viewing. Knowing what’s about to happen in certain scenes, the tension is palpable. One of the best casts of any movie of the 1990s. It’s all just about perfect.
