I'll repeat what I've pointed out before: Florida hired Billy Napier the Sunday after the regular season. He stayed at Louisiana to coach (and win) the conference title that next weekend. Not saying that will or won't happen here, but that's a relevant precedent to mention
Jon Sumrall said he will talk to his family tonight and visit with Tulane AD David Harris tomorrow to discuss his future. He said “opportunities” have presented themselves to him but that he wants & plans to coach the team in the American Conference championship game Friday.

Re: Florida Billy Napier was a good G5 coach with conference titles, SEC ties and a major red flag (he beat up on a bunch of bad Sun Belt West teams). Jon Sumrall is a good G5 coach with conference titles, SEC ties and some red flags (iffy offenses, tons of close games).
