Traditionally, the #Saints have refrained from retiring jersey numbers. But no one should ever wear No. 9 in New Orleans again.

On the day of his release, Thomas Morstead and wife Lauren went to the Saints training complex and personally said thanks and goodbye to staffers in various departments throughout the building, everyone from the equipment and training staff to the accounting department. #Class.

How good were the 2009 Saints…?.
The Vikings have trailed for 3 minutes, 26 seconds this season. Per ESPN Research, that puts them in the highest of company. Only 4 teams since the 1970 merger have trailed for less time in Games 1-5. All went to the Super Bowl, as did the team with the next-best mark. Details:

The Saints are far from the only NFL team celebrating big wins in their postgame locker room without masks.

Drew Brees' final official act with the local press corps was a memorable one: After the cameras were turned off & the mics silenced, he made his way to each reporter/photographer in the scrum & personally thanked them for their coverage during his 15-year career in NOLA. #Class.

Couldn't have said it better myself. The Superdome is a true wonder of the sports world. It's the communal living room of New Orleans and the stage for some of the greatest sporting events in American history.
Shout out to the goddamn Superdome. Many stadiums have come and gone and yet this proud son of a bitch is 50 years old, hurricanes have tried and failed to finish it off, and now it’s about to host another fucking Super Bowl. One of the GOATs of sports architecture. Recognize.

On Jan. 5, 2011, Steve Gleason was officially diagnosed with ALS. He was given 3-5 years to live. Eleven years, two kids and untold amounts of life-changing work later, he's still going strong .👊. #NoWhiteFlags

Well deserved. @ThomasMorstead had arguably the best game by a punter in Saints history on Sunday:. • 6 punts.• 52-yard net average.• 4 downed inside the 20.• 2 inside the 5.• long punt of 64 yards. Oh, & he did it in the rain at one of the most hostile venues in the NFL.
Congrats to @ThomasMorstead on being named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance vs the Seattle Seahawks!. #Saints

Also detected a heart condition with Nick Fairley in the summer of 2017.
A debt of gratitude to the Saints medical staff who have now twice detected a serious disease during a routine physical. Long-snapper Jon Dorenbos found out he had an aortic aneurysm that required open-heart surgery when he took his physical

Antonio Brown wouldn’t last a day with Sean Payton. Don’t even think about it, #Saints fans.

@realRaySessions That's right. College football has created that disparity. They need to create more parity by reducing scholarships and opening up the sport to more schools. It will take time but eventually the sport will be better and more interesting.

People close to Sean Payton think he's going to coach in 2023. I asked one of them to rank where he'd most likely coach. He listed the Saints No. 1. Jeff Duncan: If Sean Payton is going to coach somewhere in 2023, it needs to be the Saints via @nolanews.
