The abundance conference is taking place today, headlined by a Republican governor, and Ezra Klein and Derek Thompson. But I want to talk about who is funding the conference that's taking place behind closed doors. Who are the sponsors, and what do they believe?

Center for New Liberalism comes out hard against Matthew Yglesias and WelcomePAC co-founder Liam Kerr
Under the next Democratic President, a bunch of "tech" people who carried water (literally, or figuratively) for DOGE are going to try to pivot back to Democrats, and it is incredibly important that they are never, ever welcome back in our party

Threatening your political enemies with a hypothetical uniform inspection is hilarious. Never before seen levels of desperation
So âCaptainâ Kelly, not only did your sedition video intentionally undercut good order & disciplineâŚbut you canât even display your uniform correctly. Your medals are out of order & rows reversed. When/if you are recalled to active duty, itâll start with a uniform inspection.

Guy who supports increasing the difficulty of college coursework so the damned college newspaper reporters will have less free time to investigate his connections to a pedophile

I think Democrats have become so dismissive of anything that sounds even remotely conspiratorial post-Russiagate that they're likely to miss actual criminal behavior. I don't think we'd ever get a Church committee type investigation if today's Democrats were in charge

My hot take is that Democrats' dismissal of Epstein as a conspiracy theory is actually extremely alienating to real swing voters and people like Joe Rogan. They shouldn't engage in conspiracy theories, but Dems need to doggedly pursue real life conspiracies when they exist
David Brooks has this very backwards. It was the bizarrely weak prosecution of Epstein the first go around that pushed down public trust. Transparency at this point would possibly help mend it some.

Itâs really funny that even as Secretary of Transportation, Sean Duffy still rocks the 90âs fohawk look that wouldâve last been cool when he was appearing on MTVâs Real World in 1997
Trump's Transportation Secretary on how to improve air travel: "People dress up like they're going to bed when they fly... We want to push people as we come into a really busy travel season, help people out, be in a good mood, dress up"

SCOOP: Summers will IMMEDIATELY LEAVE his role as an instructor at Harvard while the University investigates his ties to Epstein. He will also resign as director of the Mossavar-Rahmani Center. More, as always, in @thecrimson

You cannot seriously be complaining that this man is too woke
Less than 3 minutes into the Ken Burns documentary on the American Revolution, and we get: 1. White people are bad. 2. Native Americans had a centuries-old democracy before British colonists arrived. 3. Benjamin Franklin copied the Native American blueprint.

While some entities are affirmatively cutting ties with Larry Summers, others are simply scrubbing him from their websites and pretending he wasn't ever affiliated. This makes it easier for his plan to re-emerge later. From @burkehenryt & @DylanGyauchL: https://t.co/JeShPYL9rK

Is His Royal Highness, Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Duke of York, Earl of Inverness, and Baron Killyleagh considered a Democrat now?
Notice how Democrats have failed to bring up: (Former) Prince Andrew Bill Clinton Larry Summers Reid Hoffman Don't let them fool you, they don't care about the survivors or justice. They only care about their political games.

Insane that thereâs Columbia parent group chats where they orchestrate deportations of students for protesting Israel on campus, but thereâs no Harvard Parents Against Epstein Pals On Campus movement to keep Larry Summers away from teenage girls
Breaking News: Larry Summers said he was âdeeply ashamedâ about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, and would step back from public commitments, but continue teaching.

Guy gets in trouble for being friends with the worldâs most famous pedophile and for vividly describing how he intends to withhold professional help from a mentee until he gets sex. Still thinks he should be allowed to wield power over countless young women though.
EXCLUSIVE: Larry Summers tells @thecrimson heâs *stepping back* from all public commitments in light of his messages w/ Epstein, saying he is âdeeply ashamedâ and hopes âto rebuild trust and repair relationships.â He will continue teaching. https://t.co/FNj8ypONBE

If only Larry Summers had a positive role model to ask for dating advice, like Bill Ackmam

Really impressed by the student journalists who pieced together Summersâ communication with Epstein about a woman he wanted to sleep with and how he planned to use his role as a mentor to do so. Summers kept this up until the day before Epsteinâs arrest

If a student has a broken dominant arm shouldnât they get more time on a blue book test? I imagine the answer would be yes, because they are capable they just need extra time to complete the task. Why would that logic not apply to these other disabilities?
This stuff is such bullshit. If you have a condition that makes it hard for you to complete work in a time limit, thatâs something your grades should measure, not something they should avoid measuring.
