If Scotland wants an equivalent alternative to the BBC, then it has to be funded. We have built the technical facilities to produce rolling news in Scotland for Scotland, but we need to be properly funded to employ staff.
The only block to growth we face is funding.
The problem isn't that BBC Scotland exists, it's that there's no equivalent counter to it. In America they have CNN to counter Fox News. BBC Scotland is a broadcast version of The Daily Record, we need a broadcast version of The National to counter it.
