I’m so glad Donald Trump is alive. This is a moment to remind ourselves that the way to defeat Trump in this election through ballots - not bullets. Political violence is not the way.

But he didn’t intervene at Uvalde? Your god sucks.

Someone just said on CNN that "both sides" need to tone down the rhetoric. Absurd. There is no Democratic/liberal equivalent to the nonstop incitement of violence from Trump, MTG, Gaetz, Gosar, Kari Lake, and others. The next few days of 'both sides' BS is going to kill me.

There is absolutely no place for political violence in our democracy. Although we don’t yet know exactly what happened, we should all be relieved that former President Trump wasn’t seriously hurt, and use this moment to recommit ourselves to civility and respect in our politics.

Much of the political media and punditry class seems surprised that so many democratic voters are defending Biden staying in the race. And that surprise underscores how out of touch the “we know best” media figures truly are.
