Yesterday we lost a true statesman. Sir Tony Lloyd was a man of great principle, integrity, courage, intelligence and compassion.
I am grateful to have known him as a friend for many years and to have had the privilege to work for him more recently.
May he rest in eternal peace.

Devastated to receive this news from The Boss earlier today.
I have been blessed to work for and be guided by the very best and I hope

is able to spend and enjoy quality time with his loved ones now.
I have been receiving treatment for some time for a form of blood cancer which has been controlled by chemotherapy. Unfortunately this has now transformed into an aggressive and untreatable form of leukaemia and I will be leaving hospital today.

From tackling misogyny to addressing (in)equality, to ending Violence Against Women and Girls and Domestic Abuse

Thanks to the organisers of ‘Keeping our Borough Safe for Women and Girls’ at Falinge school this eve. To the women who attended, & those who spoke: you inspire me. More work to do, but I’m proud to live in a place where a lot of effort is being made to tackle gender-based crime.
