I recently shared what I do w/ someone I just met (not in education) who proceeded to tell me (for 10 min) how I should include more financial literacy in the courses I write. I tried to explain about standards, etc. But she kept going on. Clearly something she said stuck! #mtbos

This is exactly why we must dig deeper to truly understand where each child’s understanding lies. Standardized assessments can not reveal the kind of actionable data that formative assessment through observations, interviews, work analysis, & conversations can. #MTBoS @mburnsmath
