i have some overhead fluorescent light fixtures at my house, and some of the bulbs have started flickering or going out. i had a go at replacing these lights, but i have had serious issues with getting the replacements to work. i made a painful discovery that could help you guys.

i knew a guy who was a dev at bloomberg and used to work on their terminal codebase. according to him, the code was so bad that he'd often have to create the same function in half a dozen places because it was not properly modularized. that said, it was optimized for speed and.
Aaargh. For the last time, finance people pay for Bloomberg primarily for the chat function, which is a social network for millionaires and billionaires. The $30k price tag is high enough to get rid of the riffraff, it’s a feature not a bug.
