Findings from our work in Lagos! We find that indirect benefits of establishing a new public bus system stemming from the competition with the ubiquitous private minibuses- commuters get lower prices on connected routes.
Lagos’ new public bus system brought cheaper rides & cleaner air, saving commuters $1.84M/month and cutting CO₂ emissions by 9%. But the story isn’t simple—private minibuses still move half the city! Discover the valuable lessons for urban mobility: ➡️ https://t.co/J5xmn5diwJ
