The irony. As I am trying to get credit for a cheque deposited on Oct 7th, I get this WhatsApp message from @RBI today promising same day clearance. @HDFCBank_Cares: please get this sorted today urgently & not by Oct 18th as you are promising. It's been SIX working days!
@HDFCBank_Cares Your DM says you'll settle this by Oct 18. That's crazy. I sent you a screenshot of my account statement that shows the credit already on 7th! But doesn't reflect in the acct total. I have already issued a cheque. I can't ask the recipient to wait till Oct 18. @RBI @HDFC_Bank

Issued cheque from my @TheOfficialSBI account to my @HDFC_Bank on Mon 7th. Tue 8th got a verification call from SBI. Amt reflected in HDFC credit & SBI debit on 8th. Issued a cheque on 10th from HDFC to discover amt hasn’t actually been credited. @RBI new rules ⬆️⬆️ delay 😖😡🙁
