Earlier this year, I presented @ladybirdbrowser at @FUTO_Tech in Austin, Texas. I believe it's currently the best introduction to what we're doing with Ladybird! (400K+ viewers can't be wrong ๐ค).

RT @dhh: I'm old enough to remember when nearly all programmers looked like they'd been locked in a dungeon for a decade. Absolutely lovingโฆ.

RT @thekinocorner: Charls and I are in development on a new film, "The Radical," and it is certifiably INSANE. It's going to be like a 1970โฆ.

flashback to being 12 and wrapping my modem in towels so it wouldn't wake people up at 2am ๐คโ๏ธ๐. (muting with AT commands didn't work, or at least I couldn't figure out how to do it, I was 12 okay).

What are some interesting, lesser-known websites we should test in @ladybirdbrowser? ๐ค๐.

โIf I had more time, I would have written a shorter letter.โ.
I met a founder today who said he writes 10,000 lines of code a day now thanks to AI. This is probably the limit case. He's a hotshot programmer, he knows AI tools very well, and he's talking about a 12 hour day. But he's not naive. This is not 10,000 lines of bug-filled crap.

A free market is better than a nonfree one, and more browser engines is better than one. It's unfortunate that this also undermines Safari as the main reason Chrome has to play by the rules with web standards. Maybe that's a price worth paying for now.
/1.๐ฏ๐ต Japan has officially banned Appleโs iOS browser engine restrictions. Starting Dec 2025, iPhones must allow real Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Brave, Vivaldi and others to run their own engines, just like on desktop. This is a major step forward for browser competition.
