Austinites will start weighing in on Prop Q next Monday, when early voting opens. If passed, it would raise our local property tax rate by 20%. If the measure is defeated, City Hall will have another opportunity to consider spending reductions, an alternative to the tax hike.

@MrScottHendrix Chito and the rest of the Watson Council have no clue how to fix the Austin budget. 1. They must cut entire functions the City has no business doing. 2. They must demand proof of positive results—effectiveness—for every function funded and stop funding ineffective bullshit.
