Bang on. The concept of ‘relative poverty’ is a left wing invention. It has nothing to do with poverty, it’s all about inequality. Measuring absolute poverty is what should matter.
@NeilDotObrien Socialism by sleight of hand. ‘Relative poverty’ must be removed from the political lexicon.

I’m delighted Sandie Peggie has finally won her case against NHS Fife. It’s ridiculous it took 2 years to reach a verdict that was so obvious from the start. This entire episode is indicative of a system wasting time and taxpayers’ money to please a small cabal of activists. A

Keir Starmer and Sadiq Khan are running policing in the capital into the ground. Starmer doesn’t have the backbone to stand up to criminals and Khan shrugs his shoulders at an 86 per cent rise in knife crime and the worst clear-up rate in the entire country. Together they are
Met has lost more than 1,700 officers since Labour came to power - as Starmer and Khan accused of 'running policing in the capital into the ground'

Lord Shinkwin points out an extremely uncomfortable fact to supporters of this dangerous assisted suicide Bill - not a single organisation of, or for, people with disabilities supports it!👊

We must stop Labour's plan to scrap the right of the British people to a trial by jury
For more than 800 years, we have enjoyed the right to a jury trial. David Lammy wants to take this away because he doesn’t trust the British people. Help @RobertJenrick and me fight him. https://t.co/JgZfJIaWcg

Since we’re talking about donations’ to political party’s, we should ban Unions from donating. They’re there to represent their members, not prop up a political party.

My Point of View: The Black Holes. Labour inherited a £10bn surplus. They lied about a £22bn black hole to spend spend spend. The £16bn downgrade to productivity was only part of the story. The real story was the OBR forecast a £4bn surplus. Yet, this was not only hidden from
The Starmer-Reeves Great Deception. Like his Chancellor, Starmer claims taxes had to rise because OBR forecasts showed a huge shortfall. Both Starmer and Reeves are being dishonest. Let’s start with Reeves’ self-imposed fiscal rule: by 2029/30 tax revenues should be £10bn more

FYI, I've written on the calls for a new UK-EU 'customs union' - with four reasons to resist them 🤔 (TL;DR - a new UK-EU 'customs union' would provide few benefits in terms of lower tariff or non-tariff barriers, but would come with significant costs) https://t.co/WQH6IG9kKj

The Liberal Democrats have long argued in favour of some new form of ‘customs union’ between the UK and the EU. But it now appears that key figures in the Labour administration are swinging behind …

I think we’re at a point where government ministers must swear “to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth” before making statements. They lie with impunity in the House. The blatant lies and spin and double standards and gaslighting are what is causing

Jury trials have been a cornerstone of our justice system for more than 800 years. That is, until David Lammy showed up. He wants to tear up this ancient liberty. We say they are vital. Join us at https://t.co/043m7swKcF

Same Old Labour. Waste taxpayers money and tax us for it.
🚨 Reminder: Labour promised just £8bn in tax rises in their manifesto. They have now increased taxes by £70bn… AND on top of that - they’ve already borrowed more money than was spent bailing out the banks during the financial crisis. And what have we got in return? ❌
