I'm at the point of questioning how smart the people running Liverpool actually are. Their entire defensive plan last year was "our CBs will play out of their skins," it actually worked, and they decided to do it again? While breaking their transfer record three times?

It's just super strange to have a competition that everyone *tells* you is worthwhile but people with actual skin in the game clearly don't see it that way and regard it as closer to an inconvenience or even a threat to their actual dreams

I just don't see how that's a problem for the game to solve tbh
@EmiSmithShowe @themagic_tophat @scottjwillis Part of the reason you come up against more low blocks is because you play more conservatively in possession to avoid giving anything away in transition. My argument yday was that any change in sp rules would probably force you to play quicker/more direct.

Like I actually would argue Bayern's crazy xGD figures are actually bad and I invite the Bundesliga and other leagues to share the wealth so that the PL isn't the sole frontier for this stuff. Dead ball rules probably don't crack the top 50 things I'd change about this game
