2nd Half thoughts:. Didn't quite keep up the same intensity of the first but I didn't see any massive change away from the balance between playing patient and playing direct. Some of the switches were not there to open up the 1v1's. Arsenal still found ways to attack at speed,.

Halftime thoughts:. There has been a nice mix of patience in buildup and playing direct. Some of the play it around and switch moments to get Saka isolated 1v1 are very nice. The final third speed has been very positive to see. Arsenal have attacked the channels in the box.

I hope the result and performance is good simply because I don't know if I can stand a full week of negativity and panic ahead of the start of the season. This is really the only thing I remotely care about for this preseason match. Come on Arsenal, help make our online lives.

Thinking about better ways to track results off of high turnover/recoveries for this coming season. I think that’s an interesting and potentially important barometer.

Liverpool's opening part of the season is the toughest overall stretch of their season. As Arsenal fan's we have been focused on Arsenal's tough start but Liverpool's will be a bigger challenge. This is an interesting wrinkle for how important the start is for both teams.
