The diff from 0.3 can be found in the CHANGELOGs of the respective repos; we're in the process of preparing a upgrade guide, and are hoping to incorporate user feedback into the guide.

Hi everyone, we're looking to make the 0.4 release of arkworks soon!. In order to gather feedback, we have pushed 0.4.0-alpha versions of ark-ff, ark-ec, ark-poly, and the various curve crates. Please try these out and report back; your comments would be very helpful!.

arkworks users, there was a soundness bug in `mul_by_inverse` in ark-r1cs-std from v0.2.0 to v0.3.0. It is now fixed in v0.3.1. See Please upgrade via `cargo update` if you use this method in your work.
