Oh, hello! Thanks @eLife for the shoutout. Indeed, we did find that Kip3, a kinesin-8, is involved in lateral bound kinetochore motility. Without it, kinetochores don’t make as many end on attachments perhaps giving us a glimpse into chromosome congression mechanisms!

Very excited to share that I'll be starting my own group in the UC Davis Plant Biology Dept in September! We'll be studying the respiratory chains of photosynthetic organisms (not just plants!) using structural and biochemical approaches. I'll be recruiting at all levels soon!
