In the video, Bisan finds dozens of USA labeled shells among the rubble. I visually verified through research the labels on the casings do indeed indicate they contained U.S. manufactured toxic weapons the Israeli forces used to destroy the buildings.
@wizardbisan finds devastation on an almost unimaginable scale when she returns to Khan Younis. As more than 80% of buildings have been destroyed, she spends time with the Palestinians who are trying to make homes among used bullet casings and bomb shells.

Really cared about making this story and highlighting intl student voices. I myself was an international student for five years in the U.S. and I can't imagine living under the threat of getting deported when all you want to do is focus on your studies and life in America.
"I feel like we're not even second-class citizens. We're not even treated as full humans sometimes.". International students are being forced to choose between attending in-person classes during a pandemic or take courses online from another country.

Getting to produce and edit Bisan's work gave me the privilege to witness Gaza's reality through her eyes. I am inspired by her courage and commitment to storytelling. All of this while more than 122 journalists have been killed in Gaza Since Oct 7.
.@wizardbisan and AJ+ have been nominated for a Peabody Award for her coverage of Gaza. For over 6 months, Bisan Owda has shown the world how life in Gaza has been through her eyes. She has told the story of Palestinian survival in the face of the Israeli genocide.

For years, I had heard from interviewing many North Korean defectors that Yeonmi's accounts were fabricated and problematic. She understood what an intl audience wanted and exploited the attention. I just hope her story doesn't deter ppl from other defectors' authentic stories.
North Korean defector Yeonmi Park has become a podcast star, with appearances on Joe Rogan and Tim Pool. But her stories about North Koreans physically pushing trains and being executed for having dusty portraits of Kim Jong Il often don't make sense.

Even though the unified Korean hockey team got hammered last night, it was an unreal experience to watch the game as a South Korean. Never in my life have I seen or imagined such unity between North and South Korea. I guess that's the merit of the Olympics #PyeongChang2018.
