First 28 days of 2025 were 1.75°C above pre-industrial! Even with La Niña cooling the planet down somewhat, this will be the hottest January in history. The Global warming rate might have more than doubled! https://t.co/KWnz1t9Hj8

NASA data shows that the rate of global warming over the past 15 years was about 9 times as high as between 1880 and 1970! There is more and more evidence that the rate of global warming has doubled since 2010!

14/ There are no easy answers but two things seem obvious: 1st, we need to talk about this. Unlike permafrost methane, albedo and the drying of the rainforests, these are feedback loops we can influence, because they are the result of decisions made by people

5/ This is one example of climate change impacting people in such a way that we respond by using more fossil fuels or destroying even more nature, thus worsening climate change It’s a positive or reinforcing feedback loop - but a social one not a biophysical one

Who will be the first mainstream journalist, for the sake of their kids, to admit the media have got this terribly wrong and that the climate crisis should be the number one story in the news constantly? Feel free to tweet at them as this is life and death for all of us

There's #drought, and then there's mind-blowing levels of drought. That's what we're now witnessing across much of South America. No wonder the entire region has become a tinderbox. The new #Climate worsens in #Brazil #Argentina #Venezuela #Colombia

Scientists warned us in the 1950s. NASA warned us in 1988. Al Gore warned us in 2006. The media and government failed to express the full magnitude of what was coming. The public looked away. Now it’s here and the future is no longer what most people think it is.
