Pre-emptive rituximab stopped relapses in our iTTP patients. 💪 After 3-5 prior relapses each, and 1 exacerbation, 4 patients received scheduled Rituximab for 2 years. Result? No relapses during a median 17.5-month follow-up. (Range 3 - 68 months) This is a big deal for a

I couldn’t agree more with stellar @StephensonCC fellow Dr Tiwari about using patient-centric language! While this highlights oncology-specific examples, we can all strive to use more patient-centric language in many aspects of medicine to help reduce implicit biases!

Delighted to share our manuscript published in @JNCI_Now. We found that facilitated ACP was associated with lower PTSD symptoms among bereaved caregivers and higher rates of goal concordant EOL care. Thanks to Dr. Schenker, @rabob, @PittPalCare and all collaborators.
