I’m so humbled and honoured to have won this award tonight.
#BFA2022
Congratulations to everyone who was nominated and those who won, and thank you to everyone for your congratulations.
I’m sure some of you have noticed I’ve been quiet of late. The reason is that I was diagnosed with diabetic neuropathy which has eventually led to a below-the-knee amputation. I’m fine and extremely upbeat. I’ve spent three weeks in John Radcliffe in Oxford and now …
It was so good being pitchside again for the first time in a few months, and watching
@wokingham_sumas
record a decisive 4-1 win. Thanks to everyone for your help and support today. You were all awesome.
@fiberkshire
@WokinghamSport
A huge shout out to
@ReadingFC
for their help getting me pitchside last night to photograph the
@ThamesValleyPL
final in my wheelchair. It’s truly appreciated.
… I’m back at the RBH, hopefully only for a few more weeks. I’m having a prosthetic foot fitted in a month or so and I’m mobile thanks to a wheelchair that I’ll be using for the foreseeable. I hope to be back taking pics before the end of the season. See you soon.
Days like this don’t happen very often. Good luck to
@Binfieldfc
in their
#favase
semi this afternoon. So excited and honoured to be photographing this team for
@bracknellnews
today.
Apologies for this content. I’ve thought a lot about how to handle this, and indeed whether it needs highlighting. This post is the result. As many of you know, my passion is to document football matches and this incident happened last night.
I always thought my set-up wasn’t good enough to do cricket the justice it deserves. 230mm at f6.7 is my limit, so you can imagine how pleased I am with this pic on the front of this week’s sports section. As the saying goes, it’s not what you’ve got … :)
Although I’ve still got matches for another 10 days, here’s a selection of my favourites from the 160+ games I’ve captured since July last year. Do you have a favourite? I’d be honoured if you think any are worthy of a nomination in the
@fiberkshire
awards. Thanks.
I’d just like to add that the club in question replied to be within two minutes of me contacting them - apologising and saying they’ll deal with the matter. All credit to them.
I wholeheartedly support the reasons behind the social media boycott by clubs and leagues this weekend, but I’m also conscious the images I shoot may be the only way some fans are able to interact with their clubs right now. I know I’ll be in the minority. Be kind, always.
Pitches of the
@bracknellsunday
league. Most are looking awesome, including here down at
@Finch_FC1
this morning. If you’re missing your Sunday morning football, follow
@fiberkshire
to see more of my pictures in the coming days.
