The ESL will not kill football. Get down to your local non-league ground, check out grassroots on the local park, just look at the numbers at a local Wildcats session. Football, game of the people, is alive and well. It does not need any greed based leagues.

Absolutely spot on. Derogatory to the hard work that goes into a lot of non-league grounds (all for love and not money, I might add). I recently visited

, both Step 6, both had superb surfaces.
This is such an average and lazy comment from
@chris_sutton73
who clearly doesn’t watch Non-League football. So many pitches are of a very high order through the work of full-time professional groundsmen or lower down the pyramid by hard-working volunteers.

If kids can sit in a classroom all day then there is no reason that they shouldn't run around outside on a football pitch with the same kids in the evening. Even if matches are stopped, training should be allowed to continue and venues given dispensation to accommodate it
