The game is dead if we lose our referees. Maybe the FA should be more concerned about this sort of behaviour, rather than running around measuring changing areas?
The ESL will not kill football. Get down to your local non-league ground, check out grassroots on the local park, just look at the numbers at a local Wildcats session. Football, game of the people, is alive and well. It does not need any greed based leagues.

Absolutely spot on. Derogatory to the hard work that goes into a lot of non-league grounds (all for love and not money, I might add). I recently visited
@BarrowTFC
and
@holyportfc
, both Step 6, both had superb surfaces.
This is such an average and lazy comment from
@chris_sutton73
who clearly doesn’t watch Non-League football. So many pitches are of a very high order through the work of full-time professional groundsmen or lower down the pyramid by hard-working volunteers.
@FA
If kids can sit in a classroom all day then there is no reason that they shouldn't run around outside on a football pitch with the same kids in the evening. Even if matches are stopped, training should be allowed to continue and venues given dispensation to accommodate it

Good news to start the week. After many mails and tweets,

1/4. BotP has been up and running for 7 years now. The aim of the site, blog and Twitter account has always been to promote non-league football, especially in the lower reaches of the pyramid where publicity is so much harder to come by.

Looking into the possibility of building a library of articles that programme editors can use as space fillers, free of charge. This is an example of the sort of thing I am thinking of:
Good idea, bad idea?

2. Great start for the Greens. Both sides played some good football. If anyone has the Samurai team sheet it would be greatly appreciated for the match blog.
The 2018-19
