Calling all fans, clubs and photographers! As much as we love our current cover photo by
@GaryHousePhoto
it's time for our monthly refresh!
Please post submissions below, we will then open a poll for you to vote on the new cover photo on the 7th of March!
The Board has decided there will be a supplementary competition in April & May based upon mini-leagues and then a semi-final and final. Entry will be optional. Full details will be sent to clubs tomorrow.
From Surrey Police: we have two fourteen year old males in custody on suspicion of arson following a fire at Egham Town football club on Tuesday evening (4 May).
The League has made a submission to the FA which you can read at Lots can go wrong but Leagues are there to facilitate football and we will do our best to get as many games played as possible, once allowed.
The FA meeting has just finished. There is still no definite date for spectators to be re-admitted but the FA are hopeful of an answer from the Govt. by early next week at the latest. The DCMS have apparently approved the FA plan but the final word rests with No. 10
In an unprecedented season of success, Farnham Town today secured the championship of CCL Prem South, with 9 games to go and can now look forward to promotion to Step 4 next season. Huge congratulations to all concerned.
Following the severe fire at Bedfont FC yesterday, British Airways home game against AFC Aldermaston on Saturday will be played at Bedfont Sports FC, kicking off at 6.00 p.m. Well done to all concerned and thanks to Bedfont Sports for jumping in to help.
Congratulations to Staines Lammas, ex CCL members. They now have permission to erect floodlights and aiming to return to the league asap. They have also just appointed Paul Burgess, ex Ashford Town and Spelthorne Sports as their new manager
We wish Chertsey every success in the next two weeks FA Vase semi-final matches starting on Sunday away to Northwich Victoria, being played at Witton Albion FC
The CCL has now been awarded Chartered Status by Surrey County FA who have sent their congratulations through County Chairman Les Pharo. Well done Debbie Ford for her hard work to acieve this
Very sad news: Long serving match official Ron Clarkson sadly died on 13 July after a long illness. Affectionally known as Rocket Ron, he was a legend in the League. No funeral details yet. RIP Ron
Sin-Bins to be introduced at Steps 5 and 6 next season. Letter received today from the FA. There will be training for clubs and match officials in due course.
Well done to the 10 CCL clubs through to the 3rd Round of the Vase, especially those playing at Step 6 of whom there are three, Berks County (their 1st season in the competition), London Lions and Wallingford Town
We are very sorry to report the sad death earlier today of Gordon Fripp, husband of ex-Regn Secretary Barbara Fripp. Gordon had been ill for sometime and died peacefully this morning in hospital, with his family present. He was 85 and a great servant to Farnham and the League.
Prem fixtures now complete and Div One being worked on. Once they are also complete the full annual list will be released either early next week or even possibly over the weekend.
Chertsey march on and will now play away to West Auckland FC in the Buildbase FA Vase 6th Round on Sat 23 Feb. Their league match that day away to Cobham will be re-scheduled, as will their league game the Tuesday before to give them every opportunity to progress.
We have the sad news that Vice President Ted Smith has died, not from Covid-19. Ted was not active in recent seasons due to looking after his wife as a full time carer but earlier had been very active on the League, especially on ground inspections. He was nearly 84. RIP
Huge congratulations to Cobham, Hanworth Villa and SCR in their 3rd Round ties in the FA Vase today. With Guiuldford City or Walton to join them we will have 4 representatives in the last 32 , possibly for the first time ever.
Distressing news to report that one of our member clubs, Egham Town, has suffered a severe arson attack earlier today. Hopefully the culprits will be caught an dbrought to justice.
The Fripp-Smith Trophy is taking shape. We have 23 clubs involved (was 24 but one dropped out) so there will be 3 groups of 6 and 1 of 5. Each club will play the others once. Winners and runners up will advance to the knock out stage (QF) followed by the semi-final and Final
It's "as you were" in both the Prem and Div 1 next season, except that Balham have been moved to the SCEL, following their move to AFC Croydon. We wish them good luck.
A full resume of today's meeting with the FA is being put together by the Chairman and will be sent to clubs asap. One matter confirmed - there will be no promotion or relegation. Extremely tough on Jersey.

Seven CCL sides will take part in the 1st Qualifying Round of the FA Cup on Saturday, Abbey R., Walton & H, Fleet T, Ascot U, Jersey Bulls, Redhill and Spelthorne Sports
Best wishes to referee Scott Orchard for a swift recovery. Scott suffered a severe ankle injury yesterday whilst officiating at Guildford City. Well done to Dave Cooper who stepped up to the middle and the young ref from the crowd who volunteered to run the line.
All scheduled league matches on tomorrow. Hopefully no postponements for weather reasons. Pushing on while we can but please be careful and mindful of everyone else.
Now confirmed: Frimley Green will be in the CCL Prem Div next season which will have 21 clubs. Cove's reprieve also confirmed, so Div 1 will have 20 clubs
Congratultions also to Wallingford Town who narrowly overcame Hilltop, to achieve promotion to Step 5 for the first time. Whether it will be in the CCL or not we wait to find out later this coming week. Both clubs have been a credit to the League in their first season in it
The League's condolences go out to Bedfont Sports following the sad death of Chairman Dave Reader, especially son Terry and all Dave's family. Along with Terry, Dave was the driving force behind the club and will be sorely missed. RIP
We are saddened to hear of the death of Alan Hale of Bedfont & Feltham who was a respected club official for over 50 years at both Bedfont FC and in recent years, Bedfont & Feltham FC serving as Chairman and many other posts. Condolences B & F and to Alan's family. RIP
Contrary to yesterday's reports, ex-CCL official Ron Clarkson has NOT died and is still very much with us. Phill Nash, Assts. Sec has spoken to him. It is not known how this rather serious error happened.
A warm welcome to all our new clubs. You will be hearing from the League later this week. We also wish everyone leaving us the best of luck in your new leagues in 22-23
Huge congratulations to Division One FC Deportivo Galicia who, earlier this week, added the Surrey Premier Cup to the MIddlesex Premier Cup that they won the previous week. To win one County Cup is an achievement but 2 in the same season is a rare feat.
The inclement weather seems set to continue for a few more days. Therefore, those CCL matches scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday of this week can be postponed without the necessity of a pitch inspection if in the home club’s view, there is no prospect of being able to play.
Fixture update: now completed but need to type and check. Bit of a day off today but will complete the checks tomorrow and then release the full list on Tuesday. It's been tricky esp in Div 1 with so many groundshares.
A memo has gone out to club secs etc. this morning confirming that matches tomorrow can be postponed without a pitch inspection, once clubs have agreed it with the match referee.
The CCL is looking to expand both its Under 18’s and its Under 23 Divisions next season. Matches are played in midweek under floodlights and in the U23 section, clubs can name up to 4 overage players in their squad for each match. Send email to alanc52

.com for info
Fixtures for August will be issued on 18 July. Remainder hopefully by 31 July. Any perceived delays are due to all the ground sharing situations for which the Step 3/4 fixues are required first.
One of our clubs has complained about a lack of news from the CCL. All we know is on the website, with a copy sent to all Chairmen and Secs on 4 June. There is nothing else at the moment. As soon as there is anything new that is meaningful, it will be sent out
Our deepest commiserations to Kathy, wife of Mike Ellsmore who has sadly died, A great supporter of CCL football and active match official for many years.

Raynes Park Vale will be wearing red and black kit this season to commemorate 25 years since Raynes Park and Malden Vale amalgamated. Red & black were the original colours of Raynes Park at the time of the amalgamation.

Congratulations to Redhill who defeated Ascot Utd on pens (4-2) yesterday in the Final of the Cherry Red Records Premier Cup. Attendance 364, superbly hosted by Cobham.
Jersey have matches on both Sunday and Monday coming up. The Sunday match against Fleet was first scheduled for Saturday but changed by mutual agreement. We might have been able to then move the Westside game to Tuesday but Jersey did not wish to disrupt Westside's arrangements
Opening CCL fixtures were sent to Club Secs and Chairmen earlier today but many bounced back for no obvious reason. They have been sent again and will hopefully go up on the league web site this evening.
17 FA Cup ties involving CCL clubs tonight. 10 winners from the CCL plus Egham who received a bye. Two more ties to come on Wednesday evening Well done all concerned.
Both Middx FA and Surrey FA have confirmed that their Senior and Premier cup competitions will still be played this season, albeit with different deadlines.
More sad news: the death of Life Member Bill Kyte overnight has been reported. Bill was 98, inextricably lined with Godalming Town where he was the groundsman right into his middle 90's and previously very active with the League. RIP.
