Some very sad news. I got to work with Dan on a few issues and his working class roots, passion for justice and compassion for the people of BC were always front & centre. I was so excited for him in his new role. Devastating. RIP.
It is with heavy hearts that we acknowledge the loss of Dan Coulter, a devoted advocate for the people of British Columbia, a passionate voice for inclusivity and justice, and a cherished member of the BC NDP family. #bcpoli

A touching tribute that sums up why Horgan was beloved by so many. Like all of us he was imperfect. Unlike some, he knew that and he understood that is why building great teams is the true work of a leader. He gave so much to so many: it’s hard to believe he’s gone. Rest in Power.
🧵On October 22nd of 2017, I finished my last bartending shift and began my first day as Premier Horgan's EA the very next morning. For the next 4 years I spent nearly every day with John. He loved telling the unlikely story of how I was hired, so I'm going to tell it.

It’s good to see the Canadian government recognizing this on National Indigenous Veterans Day. 🪶.
The stories of Indigenous veterans took too long to be told. There are so many First Nations, Inuit, and Métis who served our country with courage and distinction — some at a time when our country did not recognize them as equals. We will never let their sacrifice be forgotten.
