Our new paper in @RSocPublishing is out now We show that modern crocodiles evolved flatter and weaker skulls from domed ancestors to adapt to life in water, trading skull strength for streamlining 🐊 Read here: https://t.co/Acr5tvxP6U #Paleontology #Crocodiles #Evolution

Day 16 of #Croctober For today lets all just take a moment to appreciate the treasure trove that is Miocene South America, a true hotspot of croc evolution thanks to its warm climate and expansive wetlands. Of particular note is the Urumaco Fm. of Venezuela Art by Gabriel Ugueto

Day 15 of #Croctober Despite looking deceptively like a gharial, Euthecodon was actually more closely related to today's dwarf and slender-snouted crocodiles. This genus first appeared in the Miocene and only went extinct during the Pleistocene.

MyoGeneratorRemix is a reimplementation of MyoGenerator (Herbst et al., 2022), a tool for muscle reconstruction and parameter estimation—essential for downstream analyses like FEA. Our version brings major upgrades, including full compatibility with Blender 4.5.2.

The latest project I’ve been working on is the design of Liquid Glass, alongside an army of designers and engineers. We're designing it to bend and shape light while feeling like an elastic, flexible material that can dynamically shape shift, to make apps feel fluid and organic.

Late post, but I’m happy to announce that I started a postdoc in Jan at the CVN lab with @AckermansNicole at UA, studying the biomechanics of headbutting in goat skulls to understand how they dissipate stress from repeated impact and its link to neurodegeneration.

My jaw just DROPPED. Rork lets you create entire iOS apps just by describing them! Zero. Code. Required. This changes everything for app development. Rork blows Bolt out of the water (and yes, I invested immediately after trying it). Watch this — it's crazy:
