Brontez Purnell is still one of the best doing it.
“The tragedy of this night all started when my best friend at the Narcotics Anonymous meeting said, ‘It’s the inauguration today and I’m bummed as fuck—do you want to disassociate?” A new story from Brontez Purnell. https://t.co/UwZrrGrMaD

One of those perfect moments in a Godard film where the reflective surfaces serve as a bridge that cannot be crossed, completely.

Is it so simple? Not to listen, is that release? To go into silence alone, becoming that color, grey, The way the drowned leave their names above water. —Laura Mullen https://t.co/E4i1T0Q2vl

“Unselective and completist, the novel has a way of dispersing or engulfing its large preoccupations—addiction, class, poverty—rather than allowing them to emerge distinctly from the story.” @lola_seaton reviews Chris Kraus’s latest novel. https://t.co/SASSTTzL04

Just to note: Geoffrey’s long sentences are a marvel. As one who has spent a fair share of hours marveling over them, i would highly recommend this workshop. Covering the luck of those nearby who can register for it.
On January 7th I am leading a workshop on the long sentence at @VPL! Join us as we contemplate the various types and subspecies of long-runners in world literature and try our hands at some of our own. Registration starts on December 8th.

Wonderful essay by Annie Bolotin on C. D. Wright and "love without optimism," which is to say, the un-pop of love as rendered by Wright in her he/she sequences and dynamic view of relationality. 🖤 The whole @Post_45 issue on Wright is phenomenal. https://t.co/zsVmEBTqGQ
