Check out our new paper on suboptimality of human TFs activity and specificity. A trade off that is encoded in aromatic dispersion in IDR. Big thanks to @dhnisz for mentorship and specially my partner in crime @Naderij_ and of course all other contributors.
Human TFs face a molecular trade-off between activity and specificity encoded as submaximal dispersion of aromatic residues in their disordered regions. A collaborative effort of @dhnisz, @VingronLab and Graf Lab published today in @NatureCellBio
