Children cannot claim PIP, they must claim Disability Living Allowance and move to PIP at 16. Already, a third are rejected are that stage. Labour is not offering to extend their protection for current claimants to them. 800,000 children.

There are a number of exceptional circumstances where this could be higher – mainly if they are eligible for a household with more bedrooms bc of their family. More likely, this is just some idiot (possibly not even a GP) chatting rubbish on Reddit.

Very confused as to how someone could claim £3,500 in benefits a month. Even with UC LWRCA and highest PIP award (which, by the way, would make this person severely disabled), you'd need to be claiming £2,500 in Housing Benefit. The average is £555.12.
