Hell, the people looking away might be because they're uncomfortable with the fact he's filming.

We already knew he was an asshole from the whole "filming strangers in public to post on the internet" thing, but the hat does help confirm he's also stupid. Also, none of the reactions he gets are noteworthy, and are mostly just people looking away.
