unfortunately this is true - . I had been to 45 hackathons, built a bunch of entrepreneurial side projects, started a nonprofit, and was president of a bunch of clubs etc. but when I viewed my Stanford admissions officers' notes (thanks to FERPA), the things they were most.
my guess is being a founder/builder is not high signal for undergrad admissions. many of the top high school founders not getting into MIT/Stanford means school just fundamentally isnāt built for that kind of education. i do regret never applying to Stanford/Harvard cause my.
