I am leaving @Google this week due to retaliation & hostility against workers who speak out. Google moved my role overseas immediately after I opposed its $1B AI/surveillance contracts with Israel. And this is far from an isolated instance. https://t.co/V4y05kOYQv

Systemd broke a part of internet today (with DNS of course). https://t.co/PrwFub10zG

[Impact] A widespread outage was caused on Azure instances earlier today, when systemd 237-3ubuntu10.54 was published to the bionic-security pocket. Instances could no longer resolve DNS queries,...

"Voyage through Time" is my first artpiece using #stablediffusion and I am blown away with the possibilities... We're crossing a threshold where generative AI is no longer just about novel aesthetics, but evolving into an amazing tool to build powerful, human-centered narratives

Our preprints on the origin of SARS-CoV-2... https://t.co/ZWqqDnPqNr have now been peer reviewed and published as a pair of Research Articles by @ScienceMagazine
We have just released two preprints on the origin of SARS-CoV-2: 1. "The Huanan market was the epicenter of SARS-CoV-2 emergence" https://t.co/OAVNoWdezs

Where did the pandemic begin? Was it from nature or a lab? Since the start, this fundamental question has gone unanswered. Until now. Out in @ScienceMagazine: SARS-CoV-2 emerged into humans via the live animal trade at the Huanan Seafood Market. https://t.co/hnl9j3E6j6
science.org
Spatial distributions of early cases and environmental samples show that SARS-CoV-2 emergence was associated with the wildlife trade.

@marwood82 @SamGamgee912 @Cmdr_Hadfield @esa Indeed! The original onboard software for this specific instrument, called MARSIS, on the spacecraft was developed using a set of programming tools (known as a "software toolchain") installed on Windows 98. The instrument itself doesn’t run Windows 98.

I'm thrilled that our @usenix @SREcon Talk "Principled Performance Analytics" is posted. IMHO this represents a substantial advance to the state of the art in understanding the reliability of distributed systems. https://t.co/y0EEeNRP0f 1/2

Air France Boeing 777-300 (F-GSQJ, built 2005) was on final approach to runway 26L at Paris-CGD Intl Airport (LFPG) when the pilots reported control issues. Flight #AF11 from New York went around and returned for a safe landing about 20 minutes later.

Maybe a bit early, but I think this was my most "underated" Tweet in 2021. @Mitmproxy add-on for gRPC/protobuf reversing, with "hot reload" of content, while customizing definitions (Merged into mitmproxy 'main' branch, but not in release builds, yet)
gRPC/Protobuf wire format could be parsed in different ways, if the definitions are unknown. Small hack to reflect back definition changes for intercepted gRPC traffic to @mitmproxy UI in realtime

Intelligence acquired since the beginning of the Russian military operation over Ukraine has shown an immense lack of logistic support, making this war one of the most unique in 2022 when it comes to surveillance. A thread 👇🧵

As of yesterday, I have resigned from my position as the CEO of Dgraph Labs, and a board member. This was a long, stressful and painful decision that I have been working on avoiding for the past year. But, I couldn't. https://t.co/WlwdBbYj0s
