I don’t really do endorsements. I’m not shy about sharing my views, but I hate politics and don’t trust most politicians. I also understand that people want to hear from me because I am not just a celebrity, I am a former Republican Governor. My time as Governor taught me to

I rarely use this platform now, mostly using it to communicate with vendors. I did want to call out how great @TMobileHelp is! Every time I've contacted them for assistance they have been amazing.

@MIT_ISTnews @MIT #IPv6 adoption at MIT is still non-existent in 2024 (and has actually declined down to 0.1%). This continues to be highly disappointing for a university that was an early leader in the Internet. It's now 7 years since MIT sold off IPv4 space to AWS with a plan to shift to IPv6.

Not being able to get support for my @Carrier Infinity HVAC system is not making me happy nor likely to recommend in the future. It's been not working properly ever since it was installed two years ago.

I am also now https://t.co/nJgnFJXPcT on BlueSky although I'm not posting much there yet --- I see much better engagement on Mastodon for most topics. I've deleted the Ex-Twitter app off my phone and don't plan to post here much at all.

I really hope the latest #covid wastewater datapoint for @MWRA_update's North region from @BiobotAnalytics is a data anomaly! I've never seen an outlier this big in their data before...

This appears to finally be fixed in an OTA update to Android 12. Yay! #IPv6 is now stable on my Pixel 6 Pro on wifi.
It appears that my Pixel 6 Pro running Android 12 loses IPv6 wifi connectivity after awhile when the screen is off. With some help trying to track down the issue, it appears that it does not receive multicast RAs when the screen is off. Bug filed:

(For example, my client seems to request a AAAA address for https://t.co/fLOO3ZLvms but that hostname is IPv4-only.)

This chilling reporting provides some context on Naomi Wu's recent silence. I highly valued her voice and perspective so it is disheartening she is no longer able to safely engage and contribute in the ways she could before.

Ok for those of you that haven't figured it out I got my wings clipped and they weren't gentle about it- so there's not going to be much posting on social media anymore and only on very specific subjects. I can leave but Kaidi can't so we're just going to follow the new rules and

The version of systemd-networkd in #Ubuntu 22.04 makes substantial improvements in support for delegating #IPv6 prefixes obtained via DHCPv6-PD. If you are (foolishly like me) trying to use a #Linux server as a home router my updated blog post has details:
erik.nygren.org
This provides an overview of how you can use the systemd-networkd service in Ubuntu 22.04 to obtain an IPv6 DHCPv6-PD prefix (eg, a /56) from an upstream ISP and subdivide it across local subnets,...

It turns out that the 1000 Mbps plan only has 20 Mbps upload. (I'd had 100 Mbps upload on Xfinity before dropping TV and in negotiating my new plan was promised at least that and have a confirmation email showing 200 Mbps upload, which is a long ways from the 20 Mbps I got).

DNS Nerd Alert! 🚨🤓😄 Testing low latency DNS resolvers under IETF NQB draft, tagging UDP/53 packets w/DSCP-45. Results positive so far (will share soon). Next frontier seems to be enabling DoH resolver for L4S and testing that. #DNS #DoH #DNSoverHTTPS #LowLatency #L4S #NQB

BREAKING: Today is my birthday, so @awscloud got me a present: a full day of answering questions about what their price increase is going to mean for people. Your AWS bill is about to go up when they start charging for every IPv4 public address in Feb. https://t.co/qgVZgeVfJ3

In a rare price hike, AWS will be charging for IPv4 addresses. The change brings them in line with other cloud providers and encourages good internet hygiene.
