I still think there's a gap through the middle for the Tories if Labour and Reform continue to focus their fire on each other. But to capitalise on it, they need to appear sane and not panic in the short-term.

Usually, it's the Left who seek ideological purity. The last thing that the Conservative Party needs is to shrink its electoral coalition further by demanding adherence to every one of a slate of beliefs.
It’s time for the Conservatives to be the party of conservatives. Not the party of women like @AphraBrandreth who voted for assisted suicide, abstained on abortion up-to-birth and voted against reinstating in-person appointments before DIY abortions.
