Up to 50% of TB survivors face lasting lung damage—even after cure. Post-TB lung disease is real, underrecognized, and impacts lives. We need prevention, diagnosis & care beyond treatment. https://t.co/GlK0sX9X2A

Our #fuelpoverty review stated cold housing & mould damage children's lungs, as explained in @thetimes by @michaelmarmot; #fuelpoverty is evidence of avoidable health inequalities, exacerbated by 10 years of #Austerity #buildbackfairer

Great discussion, really insightful. Key messages for me: - TB survivors have more to contribute to the future agenda than simply recounting their experiences - we must reflect on the underlying reasons for poor aherence to truly make Rx patient centred - post TB care neglected!

Madhu’s speech at the International AIDS Conference just shook global health at the core. Three excerpts here. 1) Global health structures are racist; and this is not a bug, it is a feature.

As the monkeypox virus (MPX) outbreak continues, a lot of data emerging in real-time & being rapidly disseminated (as well as misinformation). I complied the unfolding scientific data (with direct links to papers and threads) on what we (don’t) know so far. #IDTwitter 🧵(1/n)

Every year, we run an MSc session on the dynamics of monkeypox transmission, and our team have worked a lot on contact tracing & transmission chain analysis for a range of infections. So a few thoughts on current MPX outbreak… 1/
