Germany is trying to become a single party state. There will still be multiple parties, but they will all be required to agree.
Local elections in Cologne, Germany on Sept. 14. All the major parties except AfD have signed a pact NOT TO SAY ONE NEGATIVE WORD ABOUT IMMIGRATION. This is wonderful. Everyone now knows that only the Alternative for Germany will bring up the most important issue.

This is essentially a strike by the political class in their negotiations with the electorate. Normally they have to compete against each other for votes, but they all came together and agreed not to. Except there’s a scab, and everyone hates a scab.
