Lest we forget WNC is still suffering following the storm. I heard yesterday that the NC Senate is holding up the relief bill already passed by the House to use as leverage. It’s despicable. WNC should not be used as a pawn in Phil Berger’s political games. #ncpol #wncstrong

WNC can’t wait! We need the NC Senate to pass the Helene Relief Bill now. Having relief funding get mucked up in the budget negotiations would be the wrong outcome for communities like Swannanoa.

As a veteran who voted absentee a lot, I am appalled that the NC Supreme Court decided the votes of active duty servicemen and women won’t count unless they are somehow able to cure their ballot within thirty days.

It was great to speak with the people of Swannanoa today with @PratherForNC. The truth is that the Swannanoa Community needs more recovery support from the federal and state govt. And we need Ingles and the USPS to do their part by reopening the grocery store and post office.

Not counting the votes of our folks serving in the military overseas makes no sense and I am proud that Justice Riggs is standing up for them. As a veteran who voted from overseas regularly during my career, I am livid that this is being argued by the Republican who lost.
I swore an oath to uphold the Constitution.and that's what I'm going to continue do, including standing up to ensure voters' rights are protected.
