Loved visiting Central Piedmont Community College today—stop #10 on our Future-Ready Community College Tour. We toured the Parr Center, Makerspace, Health Sciences simulation center, and Mechatronics Lab.

Yesterday I met with @NCMBC, who work across the state to connect businesses with military and federal opportunities. Since 2005, NCMBC has assisted NC businesses in fulfilling over $18 billion in contracts. We are grateful for their work and commitment to NC’s future.

Thank you to HOPE NC for the chance to speak at the 2025 Inclusive Housing Summit. North Carolinians with intellectual and developmental disabilities deserve access to housing that accommodates their needs and HOPE NC is leading the way on that change.

Like all food banks across North Carolina, @FoodBankCENC serves as a critical backstop preventing people from going hungry. It was a pleasure to spend part of Veterans Day volunteering in Raleigh with @NCLtGovernor.

The same employment program that my dad worked with more than 50 years ago is part of NCWorks today. So I want to encourage all veterans and all employers to reach out to your local NCWorks Career Center. Go to https://t.co/dM6VVbHcaL to find a center near you.

This is a chance to remember that veterans bring unique skills, work ethic and leadership abilities to our state’s workforce. We must honor their service and sacrifice.

A little more than 50 years later, I’m honored to follow in my dad’s footsteps by continuing to advocate for our veterans. Governor Stein has proclaimed that this week is “Employ A Veteran Week.”

In this archival 1974 photo, my dad, then serving as LG is seen recording a PSA at the Employment Security Commission – about the state helping connect veterans to jobs, and encouraging employers to give these veterans a chance.

Yesterday I continued my Future-Ready Community College tour with a visit to @DurhamTech. With over 100 programs offered Durham Tech plays a vital role in making NC the best state to live, work, and raise a family.

Last week I joined the Belk Foundation for a tour of Tri-County Community College's workforce development program. I'm grateful for our community college system and the Belk Foundation for supporting programs like these for our rural communities.

This year's NC State Fair was a fantastic showcase of our state's agriculture. I had a wonderful time checking out the food and livestock produced by NC farmers.

It was an honor to celebrate this milestone and share a message from my dad, Governor Jim Hunt, recognizing Biogen’s enduring commitment to science, growth, and the North Carolina community. Here’s to the next 30! - RH

Instead of passing a budget to fund our public schools and continue North Carolina’s economic growth, the GOP majority is focused on rigging Congress. The General Assembly should be in session addressing our state’s critical needs rather than passing politically-motivated maps.

Even under gerrymandered maps, we can never give up hope. In 2018, I won a district that voted for Trump by 9% points by showing up and talking to voters about issues that matter to them. No matter the odds, we will continue to organize and advocate for a better NC for everyone.

In partnership with all 99 of North Carolina’s acute care hospitals, I am proud to announce the North Carolina Debt Relief Program has erased more than $6.5 billion of medical debt for 2.5 million North Carolinians over the past year.

I join Gov. Stein in calling for Rep. Brockman’s immediate resignation.
Gov. Stein calling on Rep. Brockman to resign after arrest. “These charges are extremely serious and deeply troubling. While the legal process has yet to play out, it’s clear he cannot effectively serve his constituents and should resign immediately.”
