Native forests are priceless - ending native forest logging is critical. Australia has enough plantations to meet its timber needs and there is no excuse for ongoing flattening of precious forests and endangered species that depend on these forests. #politas

Here is a Swift parrot graveyard in Tasmania’s forests: it will never again host nesting Swift parrots as @AlboMP & @jeremyrockliff pushes these critically endangered birds nearer extinction. Those who defended this forest now face jail sentences under Rockliff law. #politas

I reckon the 9.3 millions in subsidies delivered to this industry across two years would help those 350 families.

Last night I received a letter from the Federal Minister regarding salmon farming in Tassie. I want to be clear. I will not stand by and allow bureaucrats in Canberra to kill off our Salmon Industry, or any other jobs on the West Coast.

John from Cygnet was arrested for defending Swift parrot habitat. He is not the criminal. We’ve been calling for machines to be evicted from these forests. Shamefully, @jeremyrockliff & @tanyaplibersek continues to sanction the destruction. #politas https://t.co/3khkn0UZVm

Three giant logs on one truck in Hobart yesterday. A Victorian haulage company here. Where are these logs going and what ancient forest are they coming from? These are @AlboMP logs - you can protect this nations forests and prevent this tragedy. #politas

2023 in Tasmania. Another ancient tree killed & carried through Hobart two nights ago. Native forest logging must end now so these trees & their surrounding ecosystems stay intact. Taxpayers fund this destruction + logging causes global heating + extinction rates soar. #politas

Endnote is a powerful reference and citation manager. But it costs $275. Zotero is equally powerful and costs $0. But many academics are stuck with Endnote. Here's how you can migrate your Endnote library to Zotero (and save money). A step-by-step tutorial with visuals:

We were in some of the oldest forests being logged in lutruwita. Much like harpooned whales lined up on the whaling ship deck, these forest giants lying on their side, are taller than a person standing next to them. This is ecocide happening right now fuelling the climate crisis.

Forests are unsung #ClimateAction heroes. 🌳 Up to 13 billion tonnes of carbon is stored in their trees and soil. @UNESCO says protecting forests, including those recognized as World Heritage Sites, can benefit the planet & all its people. https://t.co/DNaSaml358 @UN
