And I definitely don’t mind franchises and sequels but we really just need some of these medium sized films to succeed so there is something else to see (and franchise and sequelize in success.).

For sure, but what I REALLY wish is that more people would watch star driven, high concept movies in theaters in all genres so they actually make money and we can have some variety in theaters (and who knows - maybe start some new franchises) again.
I wish more people would watch movies like Sorry, Baby in theaters so they actually make money and we can have some variety in theaters again. I don’t mind franchises and sequels but we really just need some of these smaller films to succeed so there is something else to see.
