It has finally arrived! Our timecourse zebrafish single cell atlas profiling ~0.5M cells across 62 stages is now online @Dev_Cell
https://t.co/xPWV3kYdXN Thanks to everyone involved, especially @JeffreyAFarrell and @YiqunWang3 A tweetorial of major updates from the preprint 🧵👇

Really enjoying #GTSRC24 so far at Banff, Canada. Had an engaging poster session with lots of discussion on best4+ cells with this view outside.

This wouldn't have been possible without the amazing mentorship of @JeffreyAFarrell that have shaped my growth as a scientist over the last 4 years. My gratitude also extends to @katwrog and Brant Weinstein for their support and advice.

🚨At long last, I am thrilled and humbled to announce that my K99/R00 proposal have been funded by @NICHD_NIH to study the newly discovered intestinal best4+ cells using zebrafish as a model. It was unbelievable to have received an impact score of 12 on my first try 🎉🎉

Every year, we have to spend thousand to dollars to travel outside the country to renew our visas and then live in constant anxiety whether we will be allowed to return and continue our research. Immigrant scientists have to be exceptionally productive WITHOUT any peace of mind.

So nice to see these wild zebrafish in their wild habitats. I’m traveling across North Bengal right now and just saw some wild zebrafish today since the water levels have risen everywhere due to excessive rain. Pleasant coincidence that I came across this tweet today.

🎉Exciting news! Daniocell is now accessible via ZFIN! 4 years ago, when I started working on zebrafish with @JeffreyAFarrell, I was awestruck at the immense resource that is ZFIN. Happy to see Daniocell worthy of a place in ZFIN.

We’re very excited to share the first preprint from my lab along with @h4rrymcnamara, @BillZJia, @AdamEzraCohen, and Alex Schier. We describe a set of methods for exerting spatial control over Nodal signaling in zebrafish development. https://t.co/4Opufofwop

A crucial step in early embryogenesis is the establishment of spatial patterns of signaling activity. Tools to perturb morphogen signals with high resolution in space and time can help reveal how...

If you thought doing science was tough, wait until you learn and navigate US immigration. Navigating immigration while doing science is extremely draining and exhausting. Indian nationals like me "only" have to wait 135 years for a green card, thanks to a giant backlog.
📢'The World Is Your Oyster' is for those who are born in global north countries--don't experience visa bureaucracy & emotional burden that non-white global south scholars do. Citizenship is a privilege that we need to recognize in the academe. 1/n https://t.co/0PyvvH7fGM
